Sen i Nie by Bogusław Schaeffer is a humorous tale about an ideal family, deeply in love with literature (Izabella Bukowska-Hądzyńska—mother, Waldemar Barwiński—father, Piotr Kramer—son, Malwina Laska—daughter), which one day is visited by a mysterious Mentor (Oskar Hamerski).
As the author notes, the play is written "in the form of an instrumental concert." This approach intentionally causes the text to balance somewhere between music and theater. Schaeffer deliberately suspends the artistic compass between note and word, punctuation and rhythm, emotion and melody, and even between the actor embodying a character and the solo instrumental part..."
